This is a gluten free, lactose free, non-refined sugar concoction that is honestly better than any normal hot chocolate beverage I have ever had (except from Aroma in Jerusalem). I developed this for the sensitive stomachs around but it came to be a favourite amongst even the hardiest digestive tracts!
2 cups of Hazelnut milk
4 tablespoons of cocoa or carob or a combination of both
1/2 cup of maple syrup and/or agave
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
2 teaspoons of ground vanilla
a pinch of lavender buds (optional)
Bring the milk to boil over high heat and mix in all the other ingredients. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes, let those ingredients really get to know each other.
Let cool for 5 minutes and enjoy!
